How do i clean my New Balance running shoes?
These instructions work for athletic shoes of various materials.

Instructions

STEP 1: Prepare a solution of water and a neutral cleaner (such as liquid dish-washing detergent or another mild product).

STEP 2: Remove laces and inserts and rinse the shoes with water inside and out.

STEP 3: Use a soft brush and the cleaning solution to scrub every part of both shoes, including liners and insoles.

STEP 4: Remove scuff marks with a white nylon-backed scrub pad.

STEP 5: Rinse the shoes thoroughly with water.

STEP 6: Stuff the shoes with paper (not newspaper%26#039;the ink will run and make a mess) to absorb excess water and to help the shoes keep their shape. Allow them to drip-dry.

STEP 7: Wash the laces in a load of laundry. Allow the inserts to air out, and apply baking soda to them if they%26#039;re smelly.

STEP 8: Replace the inserts and laces after the shoes dry completely.

STEP 9: Apply white cream shoe polish to white leather parts and black polish to black leather parts.

Tips %26amp; Warnings

Many athletic-shoe retailers sell special shoe-cleaning kits for use with specific brands and models.

If your athletic shoes will hold up through the cycle, run them through your washing machine to get them clean.

Reply:stick in the washing machine, really no joke. Thats how i do mine.
Reply:use a steam cleaner on them.
Reply:wash them in the washer with cold water and woolite
Reply:With wet washrag and dawn dish soap.
Reply:i wash them in the machine w/laundry detergent on gentle cycle, do it when your about to leave, cuz its loud
Reply:take a wet wash cloth to them, and scrub them with, %26quot;germ-x%26quot; it%26#039;s a hand sanitizer but it works gr8 for that. (i found out recently by accident... lol)
Reply:I would suggest putting them inside of an old pillowcase and tying a knot in the case and then putting them in your wash machine. Putting them inside the pillowcase reduces the noise level and keeps the shoe laces from becoming tangled in your machine. You can use any type of detergent (not bleach), I suggest Tide for the best results. Depending on how dirty they are you may want to add some detergent to them prior to putting them in the pillowcase/washer and let them presoak for a bit.
