Nike Zoom BB's ripping after two weeks?!?

Hi I recently purchased the Nike Zoom BB%26#039;s in all black for varsity basketball. Today marked the sixth day of practice we%26#039;ve had, and when I was taking off the shoes after practice, I noticed the back - behind the heel, where there is some mesh lining - had torn off. I honestly do not remember anything that may have caused this tear except from excessive running, and even if that is the case, a week of practice should not do that to a shoe. I%26#039;m going to return this pair (to eastbay), but I really do like the feel, responsiveness, and support of the shoes. I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this %26quot;tearing%26quot; problem, or if my product might have simply been defective? I do not want to purchase another pair and then have them rip again...

Anyone?

Nike Zoom BB%26#039;s ripping after two weeks?!?
Hmmm i think it%26#039;s probably bcause you%26#039;ve pulled the back too hard- either that or it%26#039;s a manufacturer%26#039;s fault. I%26#039;m using the Zoom BB%26#039;s (the one with the yellow laces) as my primary basketball shoes and they%26#039;ve rocked for a few months now and i have training five days a week with no tearing occuring
Reply:call 1-800-344-6453 and set up a claim, i used to accually work for nike in the claims dept. and thats one of the most common things i heard. good luck. Report It

Reply:Nike shoes in general have a tendency to wear and tear much faster than others. Lebron IV rip at the toe box and the inner sleeve rips off the sole. Kobe II rip from the stitched on outsole. Nike 360 tend to have it%26#039;s bubble popped. Shox columns break off. You get the idea. You can return them directly to Nike and get a voucher for the same value. Eastbay probably won%26#039;t deal with your problem and direct you to Nike instead.
