How do I clean mesh shoes?

I have a pair of bright white mesh Nike Shox Turbo+ iv with mud on it. How do I wash it without ruining them?

Be very gentle with a little soap and water on a hand towel.
Reply:I put my running shoes in the washer - even ones with leather. I use the gentle cycle and put them over a heater vent to dry....in the summer they hang on the clothesline. I have never had any damage to the shoes and some are top brands and some are the cheapies.
Reply:I have an expensive pair of Brooks mesh shoes, and since they are so expensive, and I have to wear them (because I have a foot problem) ...I took the insole out, and put them under warm water and scrubbed with an old toothbrush and laundry detergent. Nothing happened to them, and they were wonderfully clean. I even used Greased Lightning on the white rubber around the shoe and it came out nice and white.
Reply:will have to hand wash and you can try a bar of the gentle laundry soap like zote.
